What do you need to use Voyced?

Voyced is an easy to use service and we adhere to the proper standards.

What are the basics that you need to start making and receiving phone calls?

You will need a Voyced VoIP account

To start off, you will need a Voyced VoIP account. This account will give you the telephone number and VoIP line that will make it possible for people can call and for you to make calls. You can order your number / DID here: Order your DID

Don’t forget to also add your FREE Hosted IPPBX account: Virtual / Hosted  IPPBX account and add the TopUp to that.

You will need a VoIP phone. hardware or software

Any physical or software based VoIP telephone will do. Switch it on, enter the account details and the SIP server details and activate those settings.  You should then see that the phone registered itself, which means it’s properly connected to Voyced, and that you can start making and receiving phone calls.

If you haven’t got a VoIP phone you, you can by one in many Computer stores, larger department store and online. We also sell some that have been tested and certified to work perfectly with the Voyced platform. You can find our offering here: Telephones

You will need call credit on your account

You will need TopUp Call Credit to be able to use Voyced. If you’re not sure how much you’ll need, you can start with a smaller TopUp amount and see how long that will last you.

It’s easy enough to add extra TopUp once you start using the system and you can do so at 2 different levels by Log into the Voyced Clientarea and select the product to add the TopUp too:
– The best and recommended way would be to add it to the Hosted IPPBX account as this will make sure that all the DIDs / telephone numbers in that account will be able to use the Call Credit
– You can also decide that you want to control the amount of Call Credit for each DID / telephone number separately and in that case, you should add the TopUp to each DID separately

What should be your Voyced 'shopping list' to get going?

Order the DIDs/Telephone numbers you want

To start off, you will need to select the services you want, one by one and add them to the cart, this will also create a Voyced VoIP client account. You can add as many products as you want, just ‘continue shopping’ and adding to the cart. Each has to be added separately as each will be a different number, setup and/or configuration. When you order your DID(s)/Telephone number(s) here:

When you order your DID(s)/Telephone number(s) you will be required to fill in your Company details etc.  This will automatically also create your account in our Clientarea. Please enter the correct details as this will all be verified to prevent abuse.

Add your Free Hosted IPPBX account + initial Call Credit TopUp.

Add your FREE Hosted IPPBX account: Virtual / Hosted  IPPBX account.

You will need this to get to your VoIP accounts specific login details, add your TopUps and to maintain the functionality of your DIDs.We would recommend that you add your initial Call Credit TopUp at this stage and to this product as this will make sure that all the DIDs/Telephone numbers in your client account can use that same TopUp.

Add (extra) TopUp call credit to your account

Now, you will need to add TopUp Call Credit to be able to use your Voyced services if you haven’t done so or if you are running low.

What is this SIP standard I keep hearing about

As we adhere to the SIP standard, you can use any SIP compliant device or piece of software. The SIP standard itself is the description on how SIP compliant devices and services should talk to each other and therefore be able to understand each other.

What do you get from us?

When you sign up with us we’ll port your current numbers or we can supply you new numbers in the area of your residence or place of business.

Some countries have special numbers for other purposes, like number that are not tied to a specific geographic area and we can help you with those aswell.

Where can I call to and where is Voyced active?

With Voyced you can call any other telephone number in the world (termination to anywhere), so you need not worry when you want to call you long-time friends, long distance relationship or family abroad. If they have a number you can dial, we’ll connect you. We can supply you with a number in most european countries and quite a few outside the EU.

What telephone can I use with Voyced?

Any hardware that is SIP compliant should work without any issues. We’ll supply you with the details to set up your account so that you can use the hardware of choice. We test with as many possible brands as possible so that compatibility is perfect.

What Softphone can I use with Voyced?

There are various brands and implementations for softphones. As long as they adhere to the SIP standard, they all should be fine.

How do I set up my account?

We will supply you the details to set up your account in the hardware and/or software of your choice. Your account in the Virtual PBX is set up by us and you’ll receive login details for that too.

What is this Virtual PBX / IPPBX?

The Hosted or Virtual IPPBX is the heart of Voyced solution really. We use a commercial grade, software based IPPBX, or central telephone system, that is known for it’s reliability and flexibility. Once you log into the Virtual PBX you can view and manage your client and telephone accounts.

Why is Voyced a pre-pay system?

Working with a prepaid system is beneficial both for you and Voyced. Our prices are very cheap, while the importance of being able to call others and other being able to call you is very high. By maintaining a prepaid balance you can easily make sure that your phone works and you don’t have to worry about loosing any calls. For Voyced this system guarantees continuity and less administration, which makes it possible to keep our prices so low.
