SIP Trunk Setup for Poly CCX 505

Setting up your device with Voyced as your Business VoIP Provider.


What You’ll Need

  • Poly CCX 505 handset connected to your network

  • Voyced account details:

    • Account / telephone number: Your-Voyced-DID

    • Service password: YourServicePassword

    • SIP server: sip.voyced.eu

  • Access to the phone’s admin menu or web interface

  • Administrator login for the phone


Requirements Before You Begin

  • Update firmware to latest Poly CCX version

  • Ensure your firewall/router allows SIP UDP to sip.voyced.eu and RTP UDP ports as per defaults

  • Disable SIP ALG on your network

  • Test your Voyced account with a softphone

  • Set a secure admin password


SIP Trunk Setup Steps

1. Access the Phone’s Settings

  1. On the device, press Home → Settings → Advanced (default password 456 unless changed)

  2. Navigate to Administration Settings → Lines → Add Line

 

2. Create or Edit a SIP Account

  • Label: Voyced

  • Address: Your-Voyced-DID

  • Authentication User ID: Your-Voyced-DID

  • Authentication Password: YourServicePassword

  • Server Address: sip.voyced.eu

  • Transport: UDP

 

3. SIP Server Settings

  • Preferred: DNS NAPTR

  • Fallback: SRV, then sipnl.voyced.eu

  • Transport: UDP

 

4. Advanced Account Settings

  • Caller ID Header: PAI-RPID-F

  • Voicemail Number: 1233

  • Voicemail Subscribe: Enabled

  • STUN: Disabled

  • DNS Mode: With fallback logic

  • NAT Keep Alive: Enabled

 

5. Codec Settings

 

List in this priority order (from higher quality to lower):

  • G722 **

  • G723 **

  • G726 **

  • PCMU (u-law)

  • PCMA (a-law)

  • G711

  • G729

  • Opus **

  • iLBC **

  • AMR-WB **

  • AMR **

  • GSM

  • Any other codecs your device supports

Codecs marked with ** may be supported but aren't guaranteed to work across all global routes.
If you have audio issues, switch back to G711 or G729 and test again.

 

Testing

  • Save and reboot

  • Confirm status shows Registered

  • Make test calls
