Softphone.Pro Setup with Voyced (Windows and macOS)
Softphone.Pro is a business SIP softphone for Windows and macOS.
With Softphone.Pro, you use your Voyced telephone number to make and receive calls directly from your computer.
The application supports multiple SIP accounts, call transfers, call recording, contact management, conferencing and integration with business software.
This guide explains how to install Softphone.Pro, connect your Voyced account, configure your telephone settings and test your calls.
1. What you need
Before starting, prepare:
-
A Windows or macOS computer.
-
A stable internet connection.
-
Your Voyced DID (telephone number or SIP username).
-
Your Voyced Service Password.
-
A microphone and speakers, preferably a headset.
-
An active Softphone.Pro licence or trial.
Download Softphone.Pro
Official website:
Download page:
https://softphone.pro/en/help/download
The latest stable release at the time of writing is Softphone.Pro 7.4, released on 20 May 2026.
The current desktop application supports Windows 11 and macOS 14 or later.
Softphone.Pro offers a 14-day trial. A paid licence is required for continued use.
Licensing
Softphone.Pro uses concurrent-user licensing.
For example, a five-user licence allows five people to use the application simultaneously.
The software may be installed on additional computers, but the number of concurrent users must remain within the purchased licence.
Your Softphone.Pro licence is separate from your Voyced telephone service.
You still need an active Voyced account and sufficient call credit for making chargeable calls.
Supported calling
Voyced provides carrier-quality SIP services for normal business and conversational telephone calls.
Softphone.Pro also offers features aimed at call centres and automated calling systems.
Voyced does not permit short-burst calling, predictive dialling, power dialling or automated bulk dialling traffic.
Use Softphone.Pro for normal inbound and outbound conversations, including manual calling and ordinary business call handling.
2. Find your Voyced SIP account details
Before configuring Softphone.Pro, locate your Voyced account credentials.
-
Log in to your Voyced Hosted IPPBX.
-
Open Cloud PBX / IP Centrex > Phone Lines.
-
Find the telephone number you want to connect.
-
Select the wrench icon beside the number.
-
Copy the DID displayed for your telephone account.
-
Open My Profile > Settings to locate your Service Password.
Your DID serves as your SIP username.
Your Service Password is different from your Hosted IPPBX website login password.
Keep both details ready.
3. Install Softphone.Pro on Windows
Step 1. Download
-
Download the latest Windows installer.
-
Open the downloaded file.
-
Follow the installation instructions.
-
Launch Softphone.Pro.
If Windows asks for microphone permission, allow access.
Step 2. Activate your licence or trial
When prompted:
-
Choose the trial option or enter your purchased licence key.
-
Complete the activation process.
-
Open the main Softphone.Pro window.
You do not need a separate telephone service from Softphone.Pro.
Your Voyced account provides the telephone connection.
4. Install Softphone.Pro on macOS
Step 1. Download
-
Download the macOS installer.
-
Open the downloaded package.
-
Complete the installation.
-
Launch Softphone.Pro from Applications.
Step 2. Allow microphone access
If macOS requests microphone access, select Allow.
If the permission was previously declined:
-
Open System Settings.
-
Select Privacy & Security.
-
Open Microphone.
-
Allow Softphone.Pro to use your microphone.
Step 3. Activate
Enter your licence key or start the available trial.
Once the main application opens, continue with the SIP configuration below.
5. Connect Softphone.Pro to Voyced
The SIP account configuration is largely identical on Windows and macOS.
Step 1. Open SIP Accounts
-
Open Softphone.Pro.
-
Click the main menu button in the upper-left corner.
-
Select Settings.
-
Open SIP Accounts.
-
Click Add account.
On Windows, Ctrl + S also opens Settings.
Step 2. Enter your Voyced SIP account
Complete the form using the following values.
| Softphone.Pro field | Voyced setting |
|---|---|
| Account name | Voyced |
| Register on startup | Enabled |
| SIP server | sip.voyced.eu |
| Login | Your Voyced DID |
| Password | Your Voyced Service Password |
| Display name | Your name or company |
| Authorization name | Leave empty, or use your Voyced DID |
| Domain | sip.voyced.eu |
| SIP proxy | Leave empty |
The Account name is simply a label displayed inside the application.
The Login field contains your Voyced DID.
The Password field must contain your Service Password, not your Voyced website login password.
Softphone.Pro uses the Login field for SIP authentication when Authorization name is empty.
For the standard Voyced setup, this behaviour is suitable.
Step 3. Test your connection
Softphone.Pro includes a built-in SIP connection test.
-
Review your SIP account settings.
-
Click Test connection.
-
Wait for the registration result.
If the details are correct and your network reaches Voyced, Softphone.Pro displays:
Successful registration
Step 4. Save your account
-
Click Save.
-
Return to the main application window.
-
Check the SIP account indicator.
Softphone.Pro uses coloured indicators to show registration status.
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Successfully registered |
| Red | Registration failed |
| Grey | Registration disabled |
Once your Voyced account shows green, the SIP connection is active.
You are ready to make your first test call.
6. Configure the SIP network settings
For most installations, the standard settings are suitable.
Recommended configuration
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Primary SIP server | sip.voyced.eu |
| SIP port | 5060 |
| Transport protocol | UDP |
| Domain | sip.voyced.eu |
| Register on startup | Enabled |
| Media encryption | None for standard setup |
| Outbound SIP proxy | Empty |
| Firewall traversal method | None |
| STUN | Disabled |
SIP transport
Softphone.Pro supports automatic transport selection as well as UDP, TCP and TLS.
For Voyced, use UDP.
-
Open Settings > SIP Accounts.
-
Select your Voyced account.
-
Find the Transport setting.
-
Select UDP.
-
Save your changes.
Important: Firewall traversal
Softphone.Pro enables STUN by default in some configurations.
The standard Voyced setup does not require an external STUN service.
To adjust this:
-
Open Settings > SIP Accounts.
-
Select your Voyced account.
-
Find Firewall traversal method.
-
Select None.
-
Save.
Leave other network settings unchanged for the initial setup.
If you later experience one-way audio on a particular network, contact Voyced Support before changing advanced firewall traversal settings.
Media encryption
Softphone.Pro supports SRTP media encryption.
For the standard Voyced UDP configuration, start with Media encryption set to None.
Use different encryption settings only when your Voyced connection has been configured to support them.
7. Voyced SIP server alternatives
Voyced supports several SIP connection methods.
| Method | Server | Port |
|---|---|---|
| Preferred DNS NAPTR | sip.voyced.eu | 0 |
| Alternative DNS SRV | sip.voyced.eu | 5060 |
| Traditional SIP | sip.voyced.eu | 5060 |
| Secondary server | sipnl.voyced.eu | 5060 |
Softphone.Pro supports SIP DNS resolution and standard server configuration.
For most installations, use:
sip.voyced.eu
with UDP on port:
5060
Softphone.Pro uses port 5060 automatically when you enter a SIP server without an explicit port.
The NAPTR port value of 0 is specific to Voyced's DNS discovery configuration. Do not enter 0 as the traditional SIP port.
Secondary SIP server
Voyced also provides:
sipnl.voyced.eu
This is an alternative connection server.
If Voyced Support asks you to test this server:
-
Open Settings > SIP Accounts.
-
Select your Voyced account.
-
Change SIP server to
sipnl.voyced.eu. -
Save.
-
Test the connection.
Retain the primary server for normal use unless instructed otherwise.
8. Configure your microphone and speakers
Softphone.Pro supports the audio devices available on your computer.
These include:
-
Built-in microphones and speakers.
-
USB headsets.
-
Bluetooth headsets.
-
External microphones.
-
Compatible business telephone headsets.
Select your audio devices
-
Open Softphone.Pro.
-
Select Settings.
-
Find the audio device options.
-
Select your preferred microphone.
-
Select your speakers or headset.
-
Choose the device used for incoming call ringing.
-
Save.
Headset controls
Softphone.Pro supports compatible business headsets from manufacturers including Jabra, Poly/Plantronics, Yealink and others.
Depending on the headset and application configuration, physical headset buttons may support:
-
Answering calls.
-
Ending calls.
-
Muting the microphone.
-
Unmuting the microphone.
Check the application's headset integration settings if your headset buttons do not work automatically.
Echo cancellation
Softphone.Pro supports echo cancellation.
Keep this enabled when using speakers and a microphone.
For regular business calls, a headset helps reduce echo and background noise.
9. Configure audio codecs
Audio codecs control how your voice is transmitted during a telephone call.
Softphone.Pro supports several codecs.
| Codec | Recommended use |
|---|---|
| PCMA (G.711 A-law) | Standard telephone audio |
| PCMU (G.711 u-law) | Standard telephone audio |
| G.722 | HD audio where supported |
| G.729 | Optional compressed audio |
| Opus | Optional on compatible connections |
| iLBC | Optional |
| GSM | Optional |
For standard Voyced calls, start with PCMA and PCMU.
These codecs provide broad compatibility.
Check your codec settings
-
Open Settings.
-
Find the audio codec options under SIP or audio settings.
-
Make sure PCMA and PCMU are enabled.
-
Keep these codecs as your preferred options for the initial setup.
-
Save.
Some advanced codec settings are managed through Softphone.Pro's configuration file.
There is normally no need to edit this file for a standard Voyced connection.
If calls connect without audio, return to PCMA and PCMU and test again.
10. Making telephone calls
Make an outgoing call
-
Open Softphone.Pro.
-
Confirm your Voyced account shows a green registration indicator.
-
Select the Voyced account in the Outbound account selector.
-
Enter the destination telephone number.
-
Click the call button.
-
Wait for the other person to answer.
Your call is placed through Voyced.
Receive an incoming call
When someone calls your Voyced number:
-
Softphone.Pro displays an incoming call notification.
-
Click Answer.
-
Speak using your configured microphone and speakers.
-
Use Hang Up to end the call.
Application status
Softphone.Pro supports several availability statuses, including:
-
Online
-
Away
-
Busy
-
Offline
Depending on your settings, Away or Busy may affect incoming calls.
If your account registers successfully but does not ring, check the current availability status.
For normal incoming calling, select Online.
11. Making international calls
Voyced uses one international dialling format across all connected devices.
Always dial:
00 + Country Code + Telephone Number
For example, to call Voyced in the United Kingdom:
00442035000202
This format applies regardless of your location.
Automatically convert + into 00
Softphone.Pro includes a useful number rewriting feature.
This is particularly helpful when using contacts imported from a CRM or another application.
For example, an international telephone number might be stored as:
+442035000202
Voyced expects:
00442035000202
Softphone.Pro supports a dialling rule to perform this conversion automatically.
Step 1. Open your SIP account
-
Open Settings.
-
Select SIP Accounts.
-
Choose your Voyced account.
-
Find the Dialing rule field.
Step 2. Enter the conversion rule
Enter:
/^\+/00/
This rule replaces a leading plus sign with two zeros.
Step 3. Save
-
Click Save.
-
Return to the main dialler.
-
Enter an international number beginning with
+. -
Place a test call.
For example:
Original number:
+442035000202
Number sent for the call:
00442035000202
Numbers already beginning with 00 remain unchanged.
Using numbers from CRM systems
Softphone.Pro also supports click-to-call from compatible CRM systems and other applications.
The same dialling rule is useful when those systems store telephone numbers in international format with a plus sign.
Check the resulting dialled number during your initial tests.
Do not add another external-line access prefix unless your specific telephone configuration requires one.
12. Voicemail
Your Voyced voicemail access number is:
1233
Listen to your voicemail
-
Open Softphone.Pro.
-
Select your Voyced SIP account.
-
Enter
1233. -
Click Call.
-
Follow the spoken instructions.
You will reach the voicemail service associated with your Voyced account.
Telephone keypad tones
Voicemail systems often ask you to press numbers to select menu options.
During an active call, open the dialpad and press the required numbers.
Softphone.Pro supports DTMF signalling for telephone menu interactions.
If a voicemail menu does not recognise your key presses, check the application's DTMF configuration or contact Voyced Support.
Voicemail versus voicemail drop
Softphone.Pro includes a feature called Voicemail Drop.
This feature plays a prerecorded audio message during an active telephone call.
It is separate from the voicemail service provided by Voyced.
For listening to messages left by your callers, use Voyced voicemail through 1233.
13. Caller ID settings
Caller ID is the telephone number displayed to the person receiving your call.
By default, Voyced sends the DID assigned to your SIP account.
Softphone.Pro includes Display name and additional SIP identity options.
Changing your display name does not automatically change your authorised outbound telephone number.
Display another telephone number
For example, you might want to display your company's main telephone number when calling from your direct line.
To request this:
-
Log in to your Voyced client area.
-
Open a sales support ticket.
-
Use the subject: Outbound Caller ID adjustment.
-
Provide the Voyced DID you are calling from.
-
Provide the telephone number you want displayed.
Voyced will review the request.
When the requested number is outside your Voyced account, proof of ownership and additional verification are required.
Voyced Internal DIDs and extension numbers must not be used as public outbound Caller ID numbers.
Advanced Caller ID features
Softphone.Pro supports advanced SIP identity handling, including custom outbound DID headers.
These features require matching support from the connected telephone platform.
For the standard Voyced connection, use the normal account-based Caller ID configuration.
Do not assume that changing a custom SIP header will change the authorised number displayed to the recipient.
14. Using multiple Voyced accounts
Softphone.Pro supports up to 32 SIP accounts.
For example, you might configure:
-
Your main business number.
-
Your direct office number.
-
A second company telephone number.
-
Another number for a different country.
Add another account
-
Open Settings.
-
Select SIP Accounts.
-
Click Add account.
-
Enter a name for the additional account.
-
Enter the second Voyced DID in Login.
-
Enter its Service Password.
-
Set SIP server to
sip.voyced.eu. -
Set Domain to
sip.voyced.eu. -
Enable Register on startup.
-
Click Test connection.
-
Save when registration succeeds.
Repeat for additional accounts.
Select the outgoing account
Before making a call:
-
Open the main Softphone.Pro window.
-
Find Outbound account.
-
Select the Voyced number you want to use.
-
Dial your destination.
Understand account status
Each account has its own registration indicator.
-
Green means registered.
-
Red means registration failed.
-
Grey means registration is disabled.
Calls from history
When you redial a number from the Call Log or Active Calls window, Softphone.Pro normally uses the original SIP account associated with the previous call.
Check the selected account when returning calls if you use several Voyced numbers.
Simultaneous calls
Softphone.Pro supports multiple active calls and registered SIP accounts.
The number of simultaneous external calls available depends on the call capacity assigned to your Voyced service.
15. Call handling features
Softphone.Pro includes several business telephone features.
Call hold
During an active call:
-
Open the Active Calls window.
-
Select the current call.

Softphone.Pro supports SIP REFER transfers.
To configure this:
-
Open Settings > SIP Accounts.
-
Select your Voyced account.
-
Find Call transfer method.
-
Select SIP (REFER method).
-
Select Transfer now as the default blind transfer option.
-
Save.
To transfer a call:
-
During the call, click Transfer call.
-
Select Transfer now.
-
Enter the destination number or select a contact.
-
Press Enter.
The application sends the transfer request.
The connected telephone service must support the transfer operation.
Attended call transfer
An attended transfer lets you speak with the receiving person before transferring the original caller.
-
During an active call, click Transfer call.
-
Select Call first.
-
Choose the intended recipient or enter their telephone number.
-
Press Enter.
-
Softphone.Pro places the original caller on hold.
-
Speak to the receiving person.
-
Click Transfer call again.
-
Select the held call to complete the transfer.
If the destination is unavailable or the transfer fails, return to the Active Calls window and resume the original call.
Conference calling
Softphone.Pro supports conferencing with up to six participants.
To create a conference:
-
Start a call.
-
Add another participant using the available call controls.
-
Connect the second call.
-
Select the conference option to combine the calls.
-
Repeat for additional participants where supported.
Actual simultaneous call capacity depends on your Voyced service.
Call waiting
Softphone.Pro supports call waiting.
When another call arrives during an active conversation, the application may notify you of the second call.
Your settings determine whether the new call waits or receives a busy response.
Auto-answer
Softphone.Pro offers automatic call answering.
For ordinary business use, leave auto-answer disabled unless you have a specific need for the feature.
16. Call recording
Softphone.Pro includes local call recording.
Recordings may be stored on your computer or transferred to supported storage systems.
Check the default recording behaviour
Some Softphone.Pro configurations start call recording automatically.
To disable automatic recording:
-
Open Settings.
-
Select SIP Settings.
-
Find Start call recording automatically.
-
Disable the option.
-
Save.
You may still use manual recording controls where supported.
Manually record a call
During an active conversation, select the recording control in the call window.
Use the same control to stop recording.
Recordings are saved according to your application configuration.
Follow applicable privacy and consent requirements when recording conversations.
17. Contacts, call history and CRM features
Softphone.Pro includes a built-in contacts list and call history.
Add a contact
-
Open the Contacts window.
-
Click Add Contact.
-
Enter the person's name.
-
Enter the telephone number.
-
Save.
For international contacts, use the 00 format or enable the number rewriting rule in Section 11.
Review call history
Open Call Log to see previous incoming and outgoing calls.
You may select a number to call again.
When using multiple Voyced accounts, enable Show the name of SIP accounts in History under Settings > Display if you want to identify which line handled each call.
CRM integrations
Softphone.Pro supports integration with business applications such as:
-
Zoho CRM.
-
HubSpot.
-
Pipedrive.
-
Zendesk.
-
Salesforce and other supported systems.
Available functions depend on the integration.
Typical features include opening a customer record when a call arrives and click-to-call from customer records.
For Voyced, use these integrations with normal conversational telephone calling.
Automated bulk calling and predictive or power dialling are not permitted on the Voyced service.
18. Troubleshooting
Softphone.Pro does not register
Check the following:
| Setting | Required value |
|---|---|
| SIP server | sip.voyced.eu |
| Login | Your Voyced DID |
| Password | Your Service Password |
| Domain | sip.voyced.eu |
| Authorization name | Empty or your DID |
| Transport | UDP |
| Port | 5060 |
| Register on startup | Enabled |
Click Test connection after correcting the details.
Authentication failed
Check your DID and Service Password.
Do not use your Voyced website login password.
A temporary SIP 401 authentication challenge is normal.
Repeated authentication failures after entering your credentials suggest a configuration or account problem.
Registration timeout
Check:
-
Your internet connection.
-
The SIP server address.
-
UDP transport.
-
Port 5060.
-
Local firewall or network security restrictions.
Try another internet connection if necessary.
Calls fail immediately
Confirm your account is registered.
Check the destination telephone number.
International calls must use the 00 prefix.
Verify sufficient call credit is available and the destination is permitted.
Incoming calls do not ring
Check that:
-
Your SIP account shows a green registration indicator.
-
The application is running.
-
Your Softphone.Pro status is Online.
-
Incoming call notifications are enabled.
-
Call forwarding is not redirecting the number elsewhere.
-
The ringing device is correctly configured.
If you use the same Voyced DID on several devices, test one device at a time to identify possible registration conflicts.
No audio or one-way audio
Check your microphone and speaker configuration.
Confirm the application has microphone access.
Verify PCMA and PCMU remain enabled.
Try another internet connection.
If your network has unusual restrictions, contact Voyced Support before adjusting advanced NAT settings.
Poor audio quality
Check internet stability.
Use a wired connection where possible.
Try another headset.
Avoid overloaded networks and large downloads during calls.
Voicemail does not work
Dial 1233 directly.
Confirm your Voyced account is registered.
If your keypad input is not recognised, check the DTMF settings.
Wrong Caller ID
Check the Voyced account selected for outgoing calls.
Remember that Display name does not replace your authorised outbound telephone number.
Contact Voyced Support if another Caller ID is required.
International numbers with + fail
Open Settings > SIP Accounts.
Select your Voyced account and check the dialling rule:
/^\+/00/
Save the rule and test again.
Calls fail after enabling encryption
Review the media encryption settings.
For the standard Voyced setup, use the ordinary UDP connection with media encryption set to None.
If you require encrypted calling, obtain the correct service configuration from Voyced Support.
Softphone.Pro licence expired
A Softphone.Pro licence error is separate from your Voyced account status.
Check the application licence or subscription through Softphone.Pro.
Your Voyced SIP credentials remain unchanged.
19. Diagnostic logs
Softphone.Pro includes diagnostic logging for troubleshooting SIP registration and call problems.
Enable logging
-
Open Softphone.Pro.
-
Select Settings.
-
Open Main.
-
Find Enable logging.
-
Enable the option.
-
Select an appropriate Log level.
If Voyced Support requests detailed SIP information, select Debug.

SoftphoneProLogFile.2.txt
Provide information to support
If a call fails:
-
Record the date and time.
-
Record the destination telephone number.
-
Note whether the problem affected incoming or outgoing calls.
-
Reproduce the problem if possible.
-
Collect the relevant diagnostic information.
-
Provide the requested details to Voyced Support.
Review logs before sharing them because they may include telephone numbers and account information.
Do not share your Service Password.
20. Test your Voyced connection
Once your account displays a green registration indicator, complete the following tests.
Outgoing calls
-
Select your Voyced account.
-
Call another telephone number.
-
