SIP Trunk Setup for Gigaset S700H PRO (via Gigaset IP Base Station)

Setting up your device with Voyced as your Business VoIP Provider.


What You’ll Need

  • Gigaset S700H PRO DECT handset

  • Compatible Gigaset IP base station (e.g., N510 IP PRO, N670 IP PRO, N870 IP PRO) connected to your network

  • Your Voyced account details:

    • Account / telephone number: Your-Voyced-DID

    • Service password: YourServicePassword

    • SIP server: sip.voyced.eu

  • Web browser on the same network as the base station

  • Admin login credentials for the base station


Requirements Before You Begin

  • Ensure the base station firmware is up to date

  • Change the default admin password

  • Have a stable internet connection

  • If using a firewall, allow outbound UDP to sip.voyced.eu and sipnl.voyced.eu on port 5060

  • Disable SIP ALG on your router

  • STUN must be disabled


SIP Trunk Setup Steps

1. Access the Base Station Web Interface

  • Find the base station’s IP address (via handset: Menu > Settings > System > Local Network)

  • Enter the IP address in your browser

  • Log in as admin

 

2. SIP Account Registration

Go to Settings > Telephony > Connections:

  • Connection Name: Voyced

  • Provider: Other Provider

  • Authentication Name: Your-Voyced-DID

  • Authentication Password: YourServicePassword

  • Username: Your-Voyced-DID

  • Display Name: Voyced

  • Caller ID Header: PAI-RPID-F

 

3. SIP Server Configuration

  • Domain / SIP Registrar: sip.voyced.eu

  • Registrar Port: 5060

  • Transport Protocol: UDP

  • DNS Mode: SRV (fallback to host and port if not supported)

If NAPTR or SRV not supported:

  • Outbound Proxy: sipnl.voyced.eu

  • Proxy Port: 5060

 

4. Voicemail

  • Voicemail Number: 1233

  • MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) Subscribe: Enabled

 

5. Codec Settings

List in this priority order (from higher quality to lower):

  • G722 **

  • G723 **

  • G726 **

  • PCMU (u-law)

  • PCMA (a-law)

  • G711

  • G729

  • Opus **

  • iLBC **

  • AMR-WB **

  • AMR **

  • GSM

  • Any other codecs your device supports

Codecs marked with ** may be supported but aren't guaranteed to work across all global routes.
If you have audio issues, switch back to G711 or G729 and test again.

 

6. Advanced Settings

  • Keep Alive Type: UDP

  • Keep Alive Interval: 30 seconds

  • Enable Rport: Yes

  • SIP Version: RFC3261

  • Enable Strict Proxy: Yes

  • Transaction Timers (T1/T2/T4): 500 / 4000 / 5000

  • RTP Encryption (SRTP): Disabled

  • Registration Failure Retry Time: 32 seconds

  • Strict UA Match: Yes

  • Enable RFC4475: Yes

 

Save and Finalise

  • Click Set / Save

  • Assign the new connection to the handset under Settings > Telephony > Number Assignment

  • Reboot the base station if required

 

Testing Your Setup

  • Call Your-Voyced-DID from another phone

  • Make an outbound call from the handset

  • Confirm:

    • Audio is clear both ways

    • DTMF works in voicemail/menus

    • Caller ID is correct


Final Tips

  • Never expose the base station’s web interface to the internet

  • Always use UDP

  • DNS order: NAPTR → SRV → host fallback

  • Keep firmware updated

  • Assign DECT handsets to the correct line in Number Assignment

  • Voyced SIP accounts do not guarantee emergency call routing
