SIP Trunk Setup for Cisco 8841
Setting up your device with Voyced as your Business VoIP Provider.
What You’ll Need

Cisco 8841 IP phone

Internet connection
-
Power adapter or PoE switch

Web browser on the same network

Voyced SIP account details:

Your-Voyced-DID (username)

YourServicePassword (password)

SIP server: sip.voyced.eu

Reset the Phone (Optional)
-
Press Applications
-
Select Admin Settings > Reset Settings > All Settings
-
Confirm and allow the phone to reboot
Requirements Before You Begin

Connect the phone to power and the network
-
Find its IP address: Applications > Status > Network Status > IPv4
-
Open the IP in your browser
-
Login:

Username: admin
-
Password: (default or as set)

Security Tip:
Change the admin password under Device Administration > User Management
SIP Trunk Setup Steps
Only change the settings below. Leave all others as they are.
1. SIP Line Registration (Line 1)

Display Name: Voyced

User ID: Your-Voyced-DID
-
Authentication Name: Your-Voyced-DID
-
Authentication Password: YourServicePassword

SIP Server 1 Address: sip.voyced.eu
-
Port: 5060
-
Transport Protocol: UDP
If DNS NAPTR or SRV is not supported:

SIP Server 2 Address: sipnl.voyced.eu

Port: 5060
2. Basic Settings

Voice Mail Number: 1233

Subscribe to Voice Mail: ✅

DTMF Type: RFC2833

Enable Fallback: ✅

Fallback Interval: 1800

Use STUN: ❌ Disabled
3. Codec Settings
Go to Voice > SIP > Codec Preferences.
List in this priority order (from higher quality to lower):

Any other codecs your device supports
Codecs marked with ** may be supported but aren't guaranteed to work across all global routes.
If you have audio issues, switch back to G711 or G729 and test again.

Save and Finalise

Disable unused lines

Reboot the phone if prompted
Testing Your Setup

Call Your-Voyced-DID from another phone

Make an outbound call

Confirm:

Audio is clear both ways

DTMF works (voicemail or menu)

Caller ID is correct

Never expose the web interface to the internet

Always use UDP

Disable STUN and proxy

DNS order: NAPTR → SRV → host fallback

Keep firmware updated

Use VLAN or reserved IP if supported

Voyced SIP accounts do not guarantee emergency call routing
