SIP Trunk Setup for Polycom VVX 450
Setting up your device with Voyced as your Business VoIP Provider.
What You’ll Need

Polycom VVX 450 IP phone

Internet connection

Power adapter or PoE switch

Web browser on the same network

Voyced SIP account details:

Your-Voyced-DID (username)

YourServicePassword (password)

SIP server: sip.voyced.eu

Reset the Phone (Optional)
-
Press Home > Settings > Advanced
-
Default admin password: 456
-
Select Administration Settings > Reset to Defaults > Reset to Factory

Confirm and wait for reboot
Requirements Before You Begin

Connect the phone to the network and power
-
Find its IP address: Home > Settings > Status > Platform > Phone > IP
-
Open the IP address in your browser

Login:

Username: admin
-
Password: 456

Security Tip:
Change the admin password under Settings > Advanced > Administration Settings > Change Password

Only change the settings below. Leave all others as they are.
1. SIP Line Registration (Line 1)

SIP Server Address: sip.voyced.eu

If DNS NAPTR or SRV is not supported:

2. Basic Settings

Voice Mail Number: 1233

Subscribe to Voice Mail: ✅

3. Codec Settings
Go to Settings > Codec Priorities.
List in this priority order (from higher quality to lower):

Codecs marked with ** may be supported but aren't guaranteed to work across all global routes.
If you have audio issues, switch back to G711 or G729 and test again.

Disable unused lines by setting them to inactive

Reboot the phone if prompted
Testing Your Setup

Call Your-Voyced-DID from another phone

Make an outbound call

Confirm:

Audio is clear both ways

DTMF works in menus or voicemail

Caller ID is correct

Final Tips

Never expose the phone’s web interface to the internet

Always use UDP

Disable STUN and proxy

DNS order: NAPTR → SRV → host fallback

Keep firmware updated

Use VLAN or reserved IP if supported

Voyced SIP accounts do not guarantee emergency call routing
