Voyced SIP Trunk Setup for 3CX (Manual Configuration)

Works for inbound and outbound calls using Voyced as an external (non-template) SIP provider.

Step-by-Step Configuration

1. Log into 3CX Admin Console

  • Go to https://<your-server>:5001

  • Log in with admin credentials

2. Add a New SIP Trunk

  • Go to SIP Trunks

  • Click + Add SIP Trunk

Fill in:

  • Country: Generic

  • Provider: Generic SIP Trunk

  • Main Trunk Number: Your-Voyced-DID

Click OK

 

3. Configure Trunk Settings

Under General tab:

Setting Value
Registrar sip.voyced.eu
Port 5060
Authentication Type Register/Account-Based
Authentication ID (SIP User ID) Your-Voyced-DID
Authentication Password YourServicePassword
Number of SIM Calls Set based on your subscription (e.g. 2, 4, etc.)

4. Configure Options (Options tab)

Option Value
Require registration for In and Outbound
Transport Protocol UDP
PBX Delivers Audio ✅ (recommended if behind NAT or for reliability)
Supports Re-Invite
Supports Replace
Use default codec order
DTMF Signalling RFC2833

5. Configure DIDs

  • In the DIDs tab, make sure Your-Voyced-DID is listed

  • If not, manually add it to route inbound calls

 

6. Inbound Rules

  • Go to Inbound Rules

  • Click + Add DID Rule

Fill in:

DID/DDI Your-Voyced-DID
Route Calls To An extension, ring group, or IVR menu

Click OK

 

7. Outbound Rules

  • Go to Outbound Rules

  • Click + Add

Fill in:

Calls to Numbers Starting with Prefix Leave blank or use _0X.
Calls from Extensions (Optional)
Route 1 Select Voyced SIP Trunk

Click OK

 

8. Codec Priority (Advanced > Codec Priority)

Ensure the following codec order:

  1. G.711 A-law (PCMA) – preferred in Europe

  2. G.711 μ-law (PCMU)

  3. G.729 (if licensed)

 

9. Firewall & NAT Check

Make sure your firewall allows:

Protocol Port Range Purpose
UDP 5060 SIP signalling
UDP 9000–10999 RTP media (voice)

 

Testing

  • Make a test outbound call from an extension

  • Call your Voyced DID from a mobile or landline to test inbound

 

✅ Final Tips

  • Voyced may reject calls if:

    • Your credit is empty

    • You're over your simultaneous call limit

  • If inbound audio fails, enable "PBX Delivers Audio"

  • Use 3CX Activity Log > SIP for debugging

  • Use sip.voyced.eu only – no IPs or outbound proxies
