What is a Dated & Double signed proof of ID?

Why We May Ask for a Dated, Double-Signed ID with Live Photo

To keep your account and services secure, we may ask you for a dated, double-signed copy of your ID along with a live photograph of you holding it when you request a service-affecting or terminating change (such as the initial Customer Verification, when terminating a number or closing your account).

Why Is This Needed?

Once a service-affecting process starts, it cannot be stopped or reversed. We must be certain the request truly comes from you (the authorised representative) and not from someone impersonating you or trying to harm your business.

What Kind of ID Is Accepted?

We require a dated and double-signed copy of one of the following forms of ID from the authorised company representative:

  • Passport (picture/info page and signed page if separate)

  • National ID card (both front and back)

  • Photocard driver’s licence

Other accepted forms are listed further below*.

What Does “Double-Signed” Mean?

  1. Take a blank sheet of paper and:

    • Write today’s date

    • Sign it

    • Add the word Voyced as an extra identifier

    • Use a different-coloured pen than the one used on your ID

  2. Place your ID on or next to that paper.

  3. Take a live photograph of yourself holding both the ID and the paper, making sure all of the following are clearly visible in the same image:

    • Your face

    • The photo and signature on your ID

    • Your extra signature and date on the paper

  4. Ensure the image is clear and in focus.

Why We Need the Live Photo

This process confirms:

  • The ID is genuine

  • The person in the ID is physically present and authorised

  • The ID and signature are not stolen or reused without your permission

How to Send It

The quickest and safest method is using the secure, unique upload link we’ll send you.

Only as  abckup, if you can't use that unique upload link, you may also:

  • Upload it via your ticket in the Clientarea

  • Send it in an encrypted ZIP file to verifydocuments@voyced.eu
→ Include your ticket number, company name on the account, and the service this relates to
→ Send the ZIP password separately or through your ticket

(A clear smartphone photo is perfectly acceptable if you do not have access to a scanner.)

Privacy & Security

We take your privacy seriously. Your ID is only used to verify your request and is reviewed exclusively by our secure internal team. We follow UK Government identity check guidelines to protect you and your business.

When Will We Ask for This?

Typically in two situations:

  • When you first sign up (required by KYC/KYB regulations)

  • When you request a major change to your account, such as cancelling a number or closing your account

This helps prevent unauthorised alterations to your services, even from a former employee or competitor.

*Accepted Proof of Identity Includes:

  • Current signed passport

  • National ID card (EEA)

  • Photocard driver’s licence

  • Full old-style UK driving licence (UK)

  • Home Office residence permit (UK)

Note: Other ID types may be accepted but could take longer to verify.
