Why planning your IVR matters
Before you begin setting up your IVR (Interactive Voice Response) or Auto-Attendant, take a moment to plan things out properly.
Jumping straight into the setup without a clear structure often leads to confusion, missed steps, and unnecessary rework.
Start with a flowchart
We strongly recommend creating a flowchart first. It helps you:
-
Visualise the call flow and available options
-
Understand how callers will move through your menu
-
Spot missing steps or duplicate paths early on
-
Align with management or colleagues before you begin
Think of it as a map, without it, it’s easy to get lost in a complex tree of call options.
