Odoo – SIP Interconnect Manual for Voyced

Use Voyced as an external SIP provider


What You’ll Need

  • Your Voyced DID account (e.g. Your-Voyced-DID)

  • Your Service Password (e.g. YourServicePassword)

  • Voyced SIP Server: sip.voyced.eu

  • A working Odoo instance with the VoIP module installed and enabled

  • Access to Odoo’s admin interface


Requirements Before You Begin

  1. You must be running Odoo 13 or newer (VoIP module support is built-in from v9+, but older versions may lack some settings).

  2. Your Odoo server must have internet access to reach sip.voyced.eu on UDP/TCP 5060.

  3. If you are behind a firewall, allow RTP ports 10000–20000 (UDP) for media.


Step 1 – Enable the VoIP Module

  1. Log in to Odoo as an Administrator.

  2. Go to Apps → search for VoIP.

  3. Install VoIP SIP WeRTC (sometimes shown as “VoIP” or “VoIP Integration”).

  4. Once installed, a PBX Configuration menu will appear under Settings.

 

Step 2 – Add Voyced as Your SIP Provider

  1. Go to SettingsPBX ConfigurationSIP Accounts.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Fill in the fields:

    • Account Name: Voyced

    • SIP Login: Your-Voyced-DID

    • SIP Password: YourServicePassword

    • SIP Server: sip.voyced.eu

    • SIP Port: 5060

    • Transport: UDP (or TCP if preferred)

    • Outbound Proxy: Leave blank unless advised by Voyced.

    • STUN Server: Leave blank (Voyced does not require STUN).

  4. Save your settings.

 

Step 3 – Configure Codecs

  1. In PBX Configuration, find Allowed Codecs.

  2. Set:

    • G722

    • G711A (PCMA)

    • G711U (PCMU)

    • G729 (optional, as fallback)

  3. Disable other codecs to ensure quality.

 

Step 4 – Assign SIP Account to Users

  1. Go to SettingsUsers & CompaniesUsers.

  2. Open the user profile.

  3. Under the VoIP section:

    • SIP Login: Your-Voyced-DID

    • SIP Password: YourServicePassword

    • PBX Server: Select Voyced from the dropdown.

  4. Save.

 

Step 5 – Test Your Connection

  1. Use the Odoo WebRTC phone (softphone icon in top bar).

  2. Place a test call to a known working number.

  3. Check for:

    • Clear audio both ways

    • No registration errors

    • Caller ID showing correctly

 

Step 6 – Optional Settings

  • Voicemail: Set to 1233 for Voyced voicemail access.

  • Call Recording: Enable if needed (check storage capacity).

  • Call Routing: Configure within Odoo to route inbound calls to users or queues.


Troubleshooting

  • Registration failed: Double-check login/password and SIP server.

  • No audio: Check RTP ports on your firewall.

  • Choppy audio: Prioritise VoIP traffic in your network (QoS).
