SIP Trunk Setup for Polycom SoundStation IP 6000

Setting up your device with Voyced as your Business VoIP Provider.


What You’ll Need

  • Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 conference phone connected to your network

  • Voyced account details:

    • Account / telephone number: Your-Voyced-DID

    • Service password: YourServicePassword

    • SIP server: sip.voyced.eu

  • Access to the phone’s web UI or on-device menu

  • Administrator login credentials


Requirements Before You Begin

  • Latest Polycom firmware installed

  • Firewall/router must allow SIP UDP to sip.voyced.eu and RTP UDP ports as per defaults

  • Disable SIP ALG on your router/firewall

  • Test your Voyced account with a softphone beforehand

  • Change the default admin password for security


SIP Trunk Setup Steps

1. Access the Web Interface

  1. Press Menu → Status → Network → TCP/IP Parameters to find the IP address

  2. Enter this IP in your web browser and log in as admin

 

2. Create or Edit a SIP Account

  1. Navigate to Settings → Lines → Line 1

  2. Fill in:

    • Display Name: Your Business Name or Your-Voyced-DID

    • Address: Your-Voyced-DID

    • Authentication User ID: Your-Voyced-DID

    • Authentication Password: YourServicePassword

    • Label: Voyced

    • SIP Server Address: sip.voyced.eu

    • Port: 5060

    • Transport: UDP

 

3. SIP Server Settings

  • Preferred: DNS NAPTR

  • Fallback: SRV → sipnl.voyced.eu

  • Transport: UDP

 

4. Advanced Account Settings

  • Caller ID Header: PAI-RPID-F

  • Voicemail Number: 1233

  • Voicemail Subscribe: Enabled

  • STUN: Disabled

  • DNS Mode: With fallback logic

  • NAT Keep Alive: Enabled

 

5. Codec Settings

List in this priority order (from higher quality to lower):

  • G722 **

  • G723 **

  • G726 **

  • PCMU (u-law)

  • PCMA (a-law)

  • G711

  • G729

  • Opus **

  • iLBC **

  • AMR-WB **

  • AMR **

  • GSM

  • Any other codecs your device supports

Codecs marked with ** may be supported but aren't guaranteed to work across all global routes.
If you have audio issues, switch back to G711 or G729 and test again.

 

Testing

  • Save and reboot the device

  • Confirm registration status shows Registered

  • Test both inbound and outbound calls
