Dear Customer,

We would like you to know about the following planned maintenance session.

Service Affected: Planned maintenance of various core servers and equipment

Impact: Briefly this will have Major Impact and the rest of the maintenance window it will have Minor to No Impact on critical services

Start Date: Wednesday, 12th July 2017, 01:00 AM (GMT)

End Date: Wednesday, 12th July 2017, 04:00 AM  (GMT)

Status Report: Service Status

Description:
To facilitate the coming migration away from the several old IP ranges, we will be using an off-peak maintenance window to rewire various servers in our primary collocation rack.

We'll also use this opportunity to improve cooling in the upper half of that same rack by rearranging various pieces of equipment and improving the cable management.

As a result, various services will become intermittently unavailable during the planned maintenance window.
Mission critical services (such as voice calls and call recording) will be down for a maximum of 10 minutes over 2 intervals between 01:00GMT and 03:00GMT.
Other, less-critical, services (logging, web interfaces) will be down intermittently for very brief periods.

Additionally, the Unified Messaging servers and IVR will be unavailable for several shorter periods between 0:00 and 01:00 GMT.

In order to limit the impact this work will have on your services, we always try to conduct this type of maintenance activity during low traffic periods.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and if there are any questions, please contact our technical support team.

Kindest Regards
Support team

Update:
We've moved the planned maintenance windows to the 12th (from the 5th) as we were not 100% convinced all parties involved are ready.
All should go ahead on the 12th as that will give our base software solution provider some additional time for tests and proof that the maintenance will go through without a hitch.

Update:
As we started with the upgrades we found that there may well be issues and extra, undesirable downtime so we stopped the upgrade and reversed any changes already made.
We will have to investigate again, with the manufacturer, why and what was about to happen so that we can tackle that issue before we move forward.
This maintenance will have to be replanned a.s.a.p. but only once we're sure that it will go well.
We will create a new announcement once this will be planned again.
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused but we will not take any risks with the service availability and continuity.
