Description:
Historically we have made it possible to use port 5065 as an alternative to port 5060 in situations where your network might prevent you from using the default SIP port 5060. In advance of the major update of our Hosted IPPBX platform to version 4.5 we are moving this extra port from 5065 to 5070.
In the near future, we will release new functionality that needs to have port 5065 as default to adhere to standards and make sure that it is fully compatible with all other equipment and installations. We always recommend using the default port 5060 anyway and, therefore, we expect that this change will have very little to no impact.
