We are going to upgrade the Voyced platform to the next stable version.
In order to improve the upgrade procedure and reduce risk, the upgrade process now consists of two parts that will be performed in 2 successive off-peak periods.

Service Affected: Step 1 involves

  • update the Configuration Server and reboot to the new release
  • update the rest of the Servers and test reboot to the new partition and the reverse

Impact: Major Impact

Start Date: Friday, 23rd January 2015, 09:00 PM (GMT)

End Date: Saturday, 24th January 2015, 04:00 AM (GMT). We will however strive to keep this as short as possible.

Status Report: Service Status

Description:
This stage requires the minimum of downtime and will allow us to check that the update to the new release is successfully performed and to determine if there are any network issues. Reboots can cause up to 10 minutes of downtime.

We apologies for the inconvenience that this may cause and if there are any questions, please contact our technical support team.

Kind Regards

Voyced Support team

Update 1 @ 01:26 am:
The First part of the upgrade has started as scheduled.
We are booting the servers in to the new updated partitions for testing.
If everything is successful, we will revert back to V3.5 partition until tomorrow night.

Update 2 @ 02:26 am:
Except one SIP server, all servers booted in to V4.0 successfully.
We have now rebooted them back in to V3.5.

One of the SIP servers could not initilise the network.
We will have to boot that server back to V4.0 to investigate the reason.
Clients on this SIP server may experience a further 30 minute downtime.

It is important that we resolve the issue before we can start stage 2 tomorrow.
We will keep you updated.

Update 3 @ 04:00 am:
We are pleased to inform you that stage 1 is complete successfully.
Stage 2 will commence at 1am on 25th where we will boot in to the second partitions and syncronise the databases.
